Board Membership

The Local Government Advisory Board is comprised of five member representing Local Government Councillors and Officers and the State Government.

The Minister for Local Government appoints the Chair of the Board and selects an Officer from the Department of Local Government and Regional Development as Deputy Chair.

Two members are Local Government Councillors who are appointed from a list supplied by the Western Australian Local Government Association. The fifth member is a Chief Executive Officer from Local Government, appointed by Local Government Managers Australia. Five deputy members are also appointed on the same basis as members.
